Welcome to my art gallery!
This page is home to original artwork by yours truly. My artistic interests don't stop at game development, and in fact extend throughout a wide range of traditional art forms.I am a formerly taught artist and I excel at charcoal drawing specifically.I also practice sculpture, painting, ceramics, and music-making.
The artwork that you see on this page is not for sale, nor am I open to any commission work. In my line of work as a game developer, I find it hard to escape the commodified and transactional nature of the job. I am an artist and I love the process of making games that spread joy, but if all I ever do is create things to please others, I fear that the act of creating itself will eventually stop feeling like an activity that I'm performing for my own enjoyment. Don't get me wrong, I love practicing art through games. I can be very creative with the games I make, but ultimately the theme, genre, game mechanics, and design decisions for any game I make tend to be heavily influenced by what the player wants. That get's exhausting.
This is why I find it so fulfilling to make art for the sake of making art and strictly never selling it. I've decided to publicly display some selected works of mine that I made back in college. I am proud of them, so I figured why not share them?
Thanks for reading this introduction, enjoy my art gallery!
"My Apartment and Neighbors"
April 2025
Oil paint on paper
Created as part of a triptych (one of three paintings) for a painting class that I took in my third year of college. This depicts a wide-view perspective of the block I lived on in my third year of college using a complimentary color scheme. My instructor made it clear that he did not like this one very much, but all of my peers said it was great. I loved making this.

"Still Life with Cow Skull"
March 2024
Charcoal on paper
Drawn from observing static objects placed in front of me (a practice also known as 'still life' drawing). This was made for a still life charcoal drawing assignment in an intermediate drawing class that I took in the Spring of my first year of college.

"The View From My Room on March 5, 2025"
April 2025
Oil paint on paper
This is a monochrome piece I made for a painting class I took in my third year of college. This is a painting that depicts the second-floor view outside of my office window at my first apartment, two days before the steam release of Nubby's Number Factory. The view outside of this back-facing window was basically an alley, a wooden fence, and a couple cars.

"Still Life with Tube and Clamp"
December 2023
Vine charcoal and compressed charcoal on paper
Similar to above, this still life drawing was drawn from observing random objects placed in front of me. This was submitted as my final project for the first college-level drawing class that I took.
